Jeremy Overbaugh, L.I.S.W.

Jeremy Overbaugh values and enjoys working with children, adolescents, and families who are responding to a broad range of problems and concerns in their lives and relationships. Jeremy offers a relaxed, non-judgmental approach to therapy with the goal of providing collaborative and effective treatment to his clients. His primary areas of clinic focus include: anxiety, ADHD, depression, anger/behavioral issues, PTSD/trauma, Autism, family conflict/separation, and school difficulties. Jeremy has received extensive training in narrative therapy, as well as solution- focused and cognitive-behavioral models of treatment. He views each individual he works with as the expert in their own lives and in possession of unique skills and abilities that can be used against problems, often in surprisingly effective ways.
 

Jeremy has over 20 years of experience working with young people in a variety of different settings, including inpatient hospital units, residential treatment facilities, mental health clinics, school settings, and in private practice. Jeremy’s educational background includes receiving his bachelor’s degree from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa and his master’s degree from the University of Iowa. He lives in Ankeny, Iowa with his wife, Julie, and their three sons. In his spare time, Jeremy enjoys coaching youth football and baseball teams, as well as cheering on his beloved Chicago Bears.
